Through our daily clinical work we know the limits of today's treatment options – those situations in which patients deteriorate despite the best available care. For them we need new therapies, developed in clinical studies.

In clinical studies, patients are examined very thoroughly. Here we often have more time to care for them than is possible in routine care.

Working on studies allows us to engage deeply with individual conditions. We have often used newly approved medications years earlier in studies – and thus already gathered extensive clinical experience.
